About the Artwork:
Oversized ceramic vessels act as a metaphor for the human condition throughout Elwells work. Examining desires, ideas and emotions through the tactile medium and sculptural forms. The series featured in Unleashed explores notions of balancing complex and contrasting emotions. Balance examines the desire to gain harmony in a difficult environment. The deeply personal works emerge from Elwells reflections on her own emotional landscape.
